About Dr. Davidson

Dr. Sheldon Davidson, a board certified eye surgeon, was one of the first eye doctors in the Valley to perform excimer laser surgery for nearsightedness. Dr. Davidson has undergone extensive training in use of the excimer laser for nearsightedness correction. He has over 20 years experience in various ophthalmic lasers including the excimer laser.

Dr. Davidson is past-president of the Phoenix Ophthalmology Society, has served as Chief of Ophthalmology for Children's Rehabilitative Services, Vice-Chairman of the Eye Section at St. Joseph's Hospital, and Chief of Ophthalmology at the U.S. Public Health Service Indian Hospital.

Dr. Davidson received his primary medical training at the Chicago Medical School. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Zoology and a Master's degree in biological chemistry from the University of Illinois. He was an instructor at the University of Illinois Medical School in Biological Chemistry.

Dr. Davidson received five years of ophthalmological surgical training in Baltimore at both the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital and at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
